The varsity lost to a scrappy Pflugerville Connally Tuesday night 31-45. The Girls came out strong with a 15-9 lead over Connally at the end of the first quarter. The tigers struggled to score in the 2nd and 3rd quarters and even though they knocked down three 3's in final quarter of the game, the hole proved too large to climb out of. Kaylie Pietras had 11 points and Avelle Bonfoh added 10. Mykel Green and Ke'ara Shanks worked together to hold Connally's leading scorer to half the amount of points in the second half as she did in the first. Tyler Waldrep and Alivia Jackson worked hard in the paint to block out and defend a large, physical Connally Post. The Tigers travel to a very competitive, Lorena High School tournament this weekend.
