In game 1 at the Lorena Invitational, the tigers lost to an athletic Alvarado High School 50-27. Tyler Waldrep played big under the goal and added 5 points. Ke'ara Shanks was dealt a tough defensive role against Alvarado's lead scorer but did a good job.
However, even though the score didn't reflect a win, they turned things around in the second game to turn up the intensity against a well matched Columbus High School. Kaylie Pietras led all scorers, in this game, with 9 points.
The tigers will play their first bracket game today at 4:30 with an opportunity to play for the bronze bracket championship tomorrow.
