The second district game for the girls basketball didn't go as they wished, falling 56 to 23 against Shoemaker High School. The Bobcats jumped out to a 19-2 lead at the end of the first quarter as the Tigers struggled to have many opportunities across half court and Ke'ara Shanks having the only Belton points to start the game. The second quarter told another story. The Tigers won the second quarter 11-10 proving they do have what it takes to be competitive with the team they were matched up against. Mykel Green brought defensive intensity off the bench as well as being 2 for 2 from the free throw line. Emma Flory contributed 5 points to lead the team in scoring.
