The Tigers have not had an ideal start to district play, but there are bright moments. The Varsity team fell to an aggressive and athletic Killeen Ellison team 64-20 on Tuesday night. The tigers dug a hole, struggling to get the ball across half court in the quarter, but regrouped at half time. For the second game in a row, the Tigers out-scored their opponent in the 3rd quarter. Emma Flory led all scorers with 9 points and Avelle Bonfoh added 8 more. Madison Bowling was 2 for 2 from the freethrow line. On the defensive end, Brianna Sauceda and Sa'Deja Ellis were both honorable mentions seeing the floor and executing their role in a zone defense that relies on backside defense.

The Tigers will regroup and play in a holiday tournament at Bastrop high school December 28th and 29th before taking on their next district opponent, University, at home on January 2nd.
