There were bright spots in the last game of the girls varsity first round of district play. The tigers started out tied 9-9 after the first quarter at Killeen. After struggling with turnovers, they were down 10 at the half. Adjustments at half time led to Belton winning the 3rd quarter 10-8. Unfortunately, the Tigers struggled to take care and find ways to score in the fourth resulting in a 48-30 loss. Madison Bowling finished well around the basket and at the free throw line adding 11 points. Emma Flory added added another 8 and Sa'Deja Ellis was 3 from 4 from the free throw line. Ke'ara Shanks came up with crucial rebounds. The Tigers start their second round of district at home on Tuesday vs. the Chaparral Wildcats.
