Freshman Red won at home against the Waco Lady Lions 35 - 9. The start of the game was a close one with the Tigers only taking a 12 - 7 lead heading into halftime. However, the 2nd half proved to be different as Belton scored 15 points in the 3rd quarter and held the Lady Lions to just 2 points. Seven different players scored, offensive standouts were Aubrey Edwards and Melissa Farmer both scoring 7 points. Defensive standouts were Saniya Huston and Frajai Jones who also converted a handful of steals into 6 points. The Tigers play on Friday, February 2 at Lake Belton. Way to go Tigers!
