Belton High School Athletic Department is proud to name our New Head Boys Basketball Coach. Phil McCaslin has accepted the offer to lead the Tiger Basketball program. Coach McCaslin is coming to Belton from China Spring where he has led the Cougars for the past 5 seasons. In 2020 he led China Spring to the Regional Basketball Tournament and in 2023 the Cougars were Area Champions. In 2020 Coach McCaslin was named Super CenTex Coach of the Year and Don Coleman TABC Coach of the Year. He has 13 years coaching experience with 9 of those being a head coach. Phil has an amazing wife in Jenny and two wonderful children Paige (6) and Elliott (4). Coach McCaslin exclaims “We are so excited to come down to Belton and become Tigers!”
