The Belton Tigers JV basketball team put up a valiant fight Thursday night but fell just short in a thrilling 49-48 loss to Austin Anderson.

Abran Knight and Gavin Ross led the Tigers' offensive efforts, each tallying 11 points and keeping the team in contention throughout the game. Their scoring prowess was matched by a determined defensive performance, with Parker Munz and Habtamu Childers setting the tone on the defensive end. Munz and Childers’ hustle and grit helped keep the game close in a tightly contested matchup.
