Day 1:
For the first of two games, the Belton Girls Basketball team took on the East View Patriots in the BISD tournament. The game had a slow start with both teams only scoring 7 points each, with Lasley Cuevas scoring four of those points. The score between Belton and East View was tied after the first half with 15 pts scored each. The game was kept close until East View had taken advantage from points in the paint to take the win over Belton 32-19. Leading scorers for this game was Ella Vaughn with 5 pts and Lasley Cuevas with 4 pts.
For the second and final game of the day, the Belton girls basketball team took on the Killeen Kangaroos in the BISD tournament. The game was primarily dominated within the paint for the Belton Tigers with the majority of their points coming from within the paint. The Tigers took advantage of this the whole game, and made this a one-sided game. The Tigers took the win over the Kangaroos with a score of 43-10, with the leading scorers being Kandence Morales with 14 pts and Lillian Baggett with 12 pts.
Day 2
The Belton Tigers Girls Basketball took on the A&M Consolidated Tigers in the 2nd place pool in the BISD tournament.
This was the last day of the tournament and the last game for the tigers.
It was a close game for the girls with the first quarter being scored 12-7 in favor of A&M Consolidated.
Unfortunately for the tigers, A&M Consolidated took advantage of the turnovers made by Belton to secure the win in the second place pool over Belton with a score of 40-11.
Leading scorers of this game was Ella Vaughn with 5 pts and Hannah Martinez with 4 pts.
