Day 1
The JV Tigers went 1-1 on the first day of the BISD JV/Freshmen Tournament. In game one versus McGregor, the Tigers won 31-13. Dylan Waldrep led the team with 9 points. Nine different Tigers scored to help with the win. Overall, the team played strong defense leading to numerous fast break opportunities. Saniya Huston and Aubrey Edwards worked hard to put pressure on McGregor throughout the game. In game two, the Tigers faced a tough Austin Bowie team and lost 48-16. Laila Huston led the team with 8 points. Melissa Farmer and Ariana Tobar played strong in the post against tough competition. The Tigers play Temple Saturday morning to close out the tournament.

Day 2
On the second day of the BISD Tournament, the JV Tigers lost to a very athletic Temple team for a second time this preseason. The team took numerous quality shots but just could not score to keep up with Temple’s fast pace. Natalie Stauffer and Dylan Waldrep helped on offense while Saniya Huston and Ariana Tobar worked hard on defense. The team takes on Waco Conally at home on Tuesday.
