VARSITY WINS OVER ELGIN

The Belton Varsity Boys Basketball team secured a solid 58-47 victory over Elgin, powered by an outstanding performance from Noah Childers, who scored 26 points. Childers led the offensive charge, showcasing his scoring ability and leadership on the court. Jay'dn Loggins also played a key role in the win, contributing 13 points to the team’s total. The victory was a true team effort, with crucial defensive contributions from Ty Johnson, Easton Barrett, Luke Munden, Daniel Briscoe, Johnnie Carter, and David Shelburne. Each of these players stepped up with key plays, disrupting Elgin’s offense and securing important rebounds. Their collective effort was pivotal in limiting Elgin’s scoring opportunities throughout the game. Belton’s strong defensive showing, combined with their offensive firepower, was too much for Elgin to overcome. With this win, the Tigers continue to build momentum for the rest of the season.
