On Tuesday December 17th, the Belton Girls Basketball Team took on Legacy Ranch in their final non-district game. The game started off well offensively for the Tigers scoring from good plays inside the paint and within turnovers to get a 15-0 lead.
The first half of the game was dominated offensively and defensively for the Tigers, getting a great 20 pt lead over Legacy Ranch, lead by Gennie Nelson with 8 pts and Laila Huston and Natalie Stauffer both sharing 5 pts each. This game had also shown a lot of improvement within the paint, with 10 rebounds from Gennie Nelson and 7 Rebounds from Kadence Morales and Jada Gage
Leading scorers for this game was Gennie Nelson with a career high of 14 points, Kadence Morales with 10 points, and Natalie Stauffer with 8 points.
The next game for the tigers is January 3rd at Lake Belton High School for the start of district play.
