With playoffs on the line, every minute of the Belton vs. Waco away game was full of intensity and emotions. The team talks about basketball being a game of runs, and unfortunately, Waco won the run game. A stretch in the 3rd quarter plagued with turnovers and missed shots created a gap too big to close. The final score was 54-42.

Following the loss, the conversation revolved around how one night does not define the season. Last year, the Tigers pulled in 4 wins. This year they improved to 13 and a playoff spot came down to juts 32 min; huge improvement.

4 seniors played their last game as a Belton Tiger; Tyler Waldrep, Lilia Trujillo, Avelle Bonfoh, and Madison Bowling. These girls have helped lay a new foundation of selflessness and hard work. They certainly have paid it forward and much of the future success can be attributed to their help this year.
