The Belton Freshman White Boys Basketball team opened the Double Sky Basketball Invitational (JV Division) facing the Troy JV squad. The Tigers showed early competitiveness and intensity, refusing to let down their guard. The entire team fought hard, but ultimately, Belton fell short, losing the opening contest. Brown, who proved to be a high-output player for the Belton offense and a key competitor throughout the game, setting the tone for the rest of the tournament.
The highlight of the tournament for the Tigers came in their dramatic second game against Granger JV. In a thrilling, low-scoring battle that came down to the final possession, Belton showed true composure and focus. With the score tight and the clock ticking down, T. Lundberg delivered the heroic shot, sinking a game-winning buzzer-beater to secure a 29-28 victory for the Belton Tigers. This exciting win demonstrated the team's ability to execute under pressure and celebrated their first big success of the invitational.
In their final contest, the Belton Freshman White team faced Rosebud-Lott JV in another closely contested game. Despite a dedicated effort and strong defensive play, the Tigers ultimately fell short, losing 31-25. Offensively, J.
