The Tigers delivered an impressive performance at the Temple Wildcat Invitational, earning 28 points to secure a third-place finish among eight competing teams. Their success was fueled by outstanding individual performances across multiple weight classes.
Daniel Arana led the charge, dominating the 123-pound weight class with a total lift of 1,140 pounds to take first place. His teammate, Corbin Wittman, also shined in the same division, securing second place with a total lift of 780 pounds.
In the 132-pound weight class, Owen Rivera placed fourth with 805 pounds, while Anthony Anderson followed closely behind, earning fifth place with 790 pounds.
Logan Ricks had a standout performance in the 165-pound division, winning first place with a commanding total of 1,300 pounds. Gino Zecca added to the team's success, finishing fourth in the same class with a total lift of 1,065 pounds.
Thomas Morter put up a strong showing in the 181-pound weight class, finishing fourth with 1,175 pounds. Jaden Lopez-Rodrigues also competed well in the same division, securing ninth place with 1,000 pounds.
In the 198-pound weight class, Jack Camboia placed sixth with a total lift of 1,055 pounds. Hayden Holman impressed in the 220-pound division, earning fourth place with 1,140 pounds, while Ian Smith claimed eighth place with 940 pounds.
Christian Griffith rounded out the Tigers’ efforts in the 275-pound weight class, finishing seventh with 1,015 pounds.
To add to the team's success, Daniel Arana was recognized as the Most Outstanding Lifter in the 181-and-under weight classes, capping off a remarkable day for the Tigers.
With a strong third-place finish and multiple individual accolades, the Tigers have set the tone for the rest of their season, proving they are a force to be reckoned with in powerlifting.
