Congratulations to Belton Varsity softball on opening the 2024 season with a win over Copperas Cove in their scrimmage on January 27th. The tigers won 4-3 in the bottom of the 6th inning. It was a great experience for the tigers with 3 innings thrown each by Lucy-Liu Gaines and Reagan Stuart to come out with the win. Defensively the tigers were strong with 2 double plays both started by Brysen Gott. Offensively the tigers had a slow start but opened it up in the second and third inning by RBI's from Jacklyn Munoz, Lole Reyes, and Reagan Stuart. Altogether it was a great win to start preseason for the tigers. Come check out the tigers in their scrimmage at Temple on Tuesday January 30th at 6 pm.
