On Friday and Saturday this past weekend (February 23rd and 24th), both Liliana Nelson and Addison Richardson competed at the UIL-5A State Championship Meet. Both swimmers were ranked as top 16 going into the meet, but still needed to prove that was the case on Friday during the preliminary session. On Friday, both Liliana and Addison had some incredible swims solidifying their spots in the top 16 for Saturday's Championship session. On Saturday, Liliana Nelson competed in the 200 Freestyle and finished 15th with a 1:59.68. Lili also competed in the 500 Freestyle, finishing in 12th place with a 5:12.96. Addison also competed on Saturday and finished in 14th place with a 4:52.67. Below are the results from the 5A State Prelims and Finals Meet:

Prelims (Friday):
-Liliana Nelson qualified for finals in the 200 Free by placing 11th with a 1:57.32
-Liliana Nelson qualified for finals in the 500 Free by placing 10th with a new personal best of 5:13.41
-Addison Richardson qualified for finals in the 500 Free by placing 13th with a new personal best of 4:46.74

Finals (Saturday):
-Liliana Nelson finished 15th in the 200 Free with a 1:59.68
-Liliana Nelson finished 12th in the 500 Free with a new personal best of 5:12.96
-Addison Richardson finished 14th in the 500 Free with a 4:52.67
