On Friday, September 27th, Belton Volleyball traveled to Lake Belton High School for their first district match. Despite all the effort the Tigers gave, they came up short against the Broncos

Defensively, the Tigers were strong and made some impressive plays against an offensively strong Lake Belton team. Macyen Doskocil was a wall in the front row. She had multiple blocks to help defend our back row from aggressive swings. Miley Davila, Allie Goodnight, Landry Duggan, and Hadley Dollar all made great plays to keep the ball in play for the Tigers. Offensively, the Tigers were able to find spots on the court to help them score. Doskocil, Avelle Bonfoh, Malu Pula, Sadie Stewart were at the top of the stats for kills in the match. The Tigers had a lot of hustle and scrappy plays to put up a good fight against a tough opponent.

Although the Tigers did not come out with a win, they showed a lot of fight and mental toughness. They held their composure and played with confidence until the end of the match. The Tigers will host University High School on Tuesday, October 1st. They will take on the Trojans at 6:30pm. Come out and support the Tigers and help us celebrate our six seniors for senior night!
