The Freshmen Red opened district play at Ellison on Wednesday, October 9th.

Defensively, the Tigers would allow a touchdown on the opening drive of the game, but hold on the conversion. The Defense would tighten up and put an end to the Ellison scoring.

Key defensive players were Garrett Stermer, Daimeon Pryor, Giovani Rivero and Cason Morton with defensive line play, Rowdy Watson and Oakley Torres leading in tackles, and Anthony Garcia and Sebastian Ramirez with key pass break ups.

Offensively, the Tigers were on a rollercoaster throughout the night. Anthony Garcia would find the endzone on a pass from Keller Lee from 12 yards out. In the end, the highs would outweigh the lows when Oakley Torres would break a 63-yard run to break the tie with 1:43 left in the ball game.

The Tigers would be handed the ball back on the kickoff & enabled the 9th Red to run the clock out to end the game.

Final Score: Tiger 12 Ellison 6

Key Special Team plays:
Blocked punt by Giovani Rivero
Kickoff recoveries by Cason Morton & Nash Jordan.
