Weight Certification/Hydration Test Information

Monday's hydration test and weight certification will establish your minimum weight class for this wrestling season. Varsity weight class are as follows:

Boys weight classes are: 106 lbs, 113 lbs, 120 lbs, 126 lbs, 132 lbs, 138 lbs, 144 lbs, 150 lbs, 157 lbs, 165 lbs, 175 lbs, 190 lbs, 215 lbs, and 285 lbs.

Girls weight classes are: 100 lbs, 107 lbs, 114 lbs, 120 lbs, 126 lbs, 132lbs, 138 lbs, 145 lbs, 152 lbs, 165 lbs, 185 lbs, and 235 lbs.

You will be given a 2 lbs growth allowance on Dec. 27th.

Monday's test and certification will determine the lowest weight class that an athlete can compete at, and establish a weight loss plan to achieve that minimum weight. This plan can be viewed by creating an athlete account on trackwrestling.com and linked to your profile.

Once the assessment is completed this is the allowed minimum weight for the season, and required decent plan. Coach Clark is the only one allowed to determine if an appeal is recommended. You can read more about the testing process, minimum weight, and decent plan on the UIL website.

Attached is a recommended preparation for your hydration test. This is only a recommendation and does not guarantee a pass or fail of your hydration test. Any athlete that fails the hydration test will not be able to establish their Alpha Weight and Minimum Weight Class, and will be retested at a later date.
