While many tournaments were canceled last week and numerous teams did not play, Lady Tiger Soccer was fortunate—or perhaps unfortunate, depending on your perspective—to participate in the Burnet Bulldog Classic from Thursday to Saturday.

The games on Thursday were played in wet conditions, with temperatures just above freezing. In Game 1, the Tigers secured a 1-0 victory over Bastrop Cedar Creek, with Ava Itz scoring the lone goal. Destiny Mendez stood strong in goal, earning a shutout.
Game 2 on Thursday was against New Braunfels Canyon and ended in a 1-1 tie. Ava Itz was once again the lone scorer for the Tigers.

Friday's weather was slightly more favorable, with no rain, though temperatures remained similar, accompanied by a blistering wind. The lone game was against Lorena. Goals were scored by Kiersten Rowland (assisted by Ava Itz), Ava Itz, and Lauren McKinney, who secured the final goal.

Saturday brought beautiful weather, with one game on the schedule against district opponent Chaparral High School. Kiersten Rowland opened the scoring, followed by Ava Itz (assisted by Grace Landen) with the second goal. Destiny Schutz (assisted by Michaela Dvonch) capped off the scoring, wrapping up a great weekend for Lady Tiger Soccer.

Next up for Lady Tiger Soccer is a trip to Georgetown to play in the Governor's Cup. The first game is on Thursday against LASA at 10:50 am.
