Tigers Made Their Mark at Cameron Yoe Invitational

The Belton Tiger Powerlifting Team showcased their strength and determination at the prestigious Cameron Yoe Invitational Meet this past weekend. Competing against a strong field of teams, the Tigers finished in an impressive 5th place overall, demonstrating their growing potential and commitment to excellence.

Leading the way for the Tigers was standout lifter Corbin Wittman, who dominated the 123-pound weight class. Wittman secured a 1st place finish with a remarkable total weight of 710 pounds, a performance that underscored his skill, focus, and hard work.

Other notable performances included Owen Rivera, who finished 4th in the 132-pound weight class with a total of 785 pounds. Jorge Guardiola added to the team's success with a 3rd place finish in the 148-pound weight class, achieving a total of 800 pounds. In the 220-pound weight class, Hayden Holman secured 5th place with a total of 1,055 pounds. Meanwhile, Christian Griffith delivered a strong showing in the 275-pound weight class, finishing 4th with a total of 970 pounds.

The entire team contributed to the Tigers’ success with solid individual performances that added valuable points to the team’s overall standing. Despite facing fierce competition from other schools, the Tigers held their own and left a lasting impression on the meet.

The Tigers will look to build on this performance as they continue their season, aiming to climb higher in the rankings and achieve even greater success. With lifters like Corbin Wittman, Owen Rivera, Jorge Guardiola, Hayden Holman, and Christian Griffith leading the charge, the Belton Tigers are poised for an exciting season ahead.
