The girls' soccer team traveled to College Station on Thursday evening for a neutral-site contest against Kingwood Park. This was their final game before starting district play this week against Ellison.
The Tigers came out on top with a 5-2 victory over their regionally ranked opponent.
In the first half, Kiersten Rowland scored twice, assisted by Penelope Vizcarra and Ava Itz. Freshman Michaela Dvonch netted her first goal of the season, assisted by Destiny Schutz, giving the Tigers a 3-1 lead at halftime.
Second-half goals came from Lauren McKinney (assisted by Tori Lucksinger) and Ava Itz, who scored off a free kick.
Rain this week may impact the Tigers' home opener at Wilson-Kerzee, so stay tuned for updates as game day approaches.
