The Freshman Tiger Tennis Team traveled to Pflugerville yesterday to participate in their first tournament of the Spring Season. With most the team playing for the first time in a Sporing tournament the entire team did an amazing job facing the challenges and competing for Belton High School.

Highlights were as follows:

Kinli Moffet/Kiri Moffet had a close first round match that wasn't in their favor. They proceeded to go on to win their next 3 matches to punch their ticket into the consolation finals, where they came up short of winning in a tiebreaker.

Ava Echipare/Claire Lufburrow in their first tournament EVER, made their run to the consolation quarterfinals before being edge out by a sound Pflugerville team.

The entire team showed great promise and played well after being away from competition for a while. The Tigers will be back on the courts next week, Tuesday, February 11th for the Weiss Freshman Tennis Tournament. Go Big Red!
